CNN —This piece contains mild spoilers for the Netflix series “Ripley” and a scene in the movie “Civil War.”Are we finally ready to take another look at why we love to hate sociopaths so much? But his rendition of Ripley – highly capable, chameleonic, but never what you’d call charming — represents a refreshing take on one of the most famous sociopaths in literature and film. Gagne feels Hollywood’s nearly always gotten it wrong with portrayals of sociopaths, reducing them to a collection of cartoonish, villainous traits. In fact, I found one of film’s most recent sociopaths to be singularly chilling because of his very plausibility. He’s in Alex Garland’s “Civil War,” the polarizing film about a vaguely-sketched conflict set in the modern-day United States.

CNN —Penn Badgley got a killer star on TikTok. The actor channeled his “You” character, serial killer Joe Goldberg, for his debut post Monday. In his TikTok post, Badgley is seen running to the door. When he opens it, Badgley is there, dressed like his “You” character. Badgley as himself lip syncs, “Hi” before the Goldberg character drops the lyric, “I’m the problem, it’s me.”His followers went wild, including Swift who dropped an “OMG” with the starry eyed emoji in his comments.
(CNN) Professor Joe can count on our attendance to Season 4 of "You." Netflix on Saturday announced its stalker series starring Penn Badgley will return in two parts. The second half will follow on March 10, 2023, the streamer said. The announcement was made as part of Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event, an annual barrage of first looks and teasers. "You" Season 3 was released in October 2021 and found Badgley's Joe Goldberg living in the suburbs but very much up to old bad habits -- the murdering kind.
